Croeso i Undeb Bangor to the ever growing community of Students’ Unions taking advantage of the powerful membership management tools within UnionCloud!
Bangor University Students’ Union went live with their new UnionCloud website last week, just in time for welcoming back their over 10,000 members.
Being a Welsh university, the students’ union needed their membership engagement platform to have powerful and easy to use bilingual functionality. During the tender process, the staff were particularly impressed with how easy it was to add Welsh content using UnionCloud.
Working closely with their team, we developed a brand new, accessible and responsive website theme. All staff are now fully trained through our newly developed virtual training programme, and are already showing us new ways of using UnionCloud!

We’re very excited to have launched our UnionCloud website working with OneVoice to provide a better online experience for our students.
The support we’ve received from Harry Vann and the team has been fantastic throughout the onboarding process, from the preparatory work to designing the theme, providing training for staff and support during the process of building the website.
We were working to a tight deadline and during a pandemic, but the support from the team and the good working relationship we’ve developed meant it was possible for us to launch in September.
UnionCloud will be a vital tool for our staff officers and members, and we will be working on driving our members to the website, increasing engagement and ensuring students understand what we do, we will continue to work with the OneVoice team and with our staff and members to review its success and to make sure it responds to the needs of our membership.”

As a Bangor Alumnus and former Sabbatical Officer, I was thrilled to see Undeb Bangor join the OneVoice family recently. I loved my time at Bangor and regularly find myself back there, but I understand how important it is to have the best digital tools possible for reaching out to students (especially now!).
In my time at Bangor I was responsible for Societies & Community (as was the role at the time) We never had tools like UnionCloud available to us back then, but the ability for Clubs, Societies, and Volunteering Projects to manage their memberships, contact their users, arrange their events, recruit volunteers, sell tickets and more, all digitally is absolutely invaluable.
Having come from studying and working in a bilingual institution also gave me a unique insight into how important features like multi-lingual support are in websites, and something I pushed strongly for us to build. I know that UnionCloud will be a great match for Undeb Bangor, and look forward to seeing how they make great use of the features available to them.
Welcome to the community, Undeb Bangor!
